Privacy Policy
ClearHire helps homeowners check contractors against state license records, and gives contractors a verified public page plus tools for proposals, invoices, jobs, photos, expenses and leads. This policy explains what information we collect on clearhirepro.com and in the ClearHire mobile app (together, "ClearHire"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
If you search for a contractor. You don't need an account. Your searches are run against public state license records (Oregon and Washington open-data portals). If you request a quote, we collect what you enter, such as your email, phone number, project details and approximate square footage, and send it to that contractor. If you leave a review, your name, rating and comment are shown publicly on the contractor's page.
If you're a contractor.
- Account: your email address, which is how you sign in (we email you a one-time code; there's no password). If you add people to your business, we store their email addresses and roles.
- Your listing: business name, license number, phone, email, logo, photos, trades, service area, description and pricing you choose to publish. This information is public on your ClearHire page.
- Your business records: proposals and invoices (including your customers' names, emails, phone numbers and line items), jobs and job-site photos, expenses and receipt images, leads, and notes. These are private to the people on your business.
- Billing: if you subscribe to ClearHire Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your plan status.
Device permissions (app). With your permission, the app uses your camera and photo library so you can add job-site photos, receipts and listing photos. Photos are uploaded only when you choose to add them.
On your device. We keep you signed in and save unfinished drafts on your device (browser storage or app storage). We do not use advertising cookies, ad trackers or third-party analytics.
How we use information
- To provide ClearHire: show license, bond and insurance checks, publish contractor pages, deliver quote requests, and let contractors create and share documents.
- To sign you in, send quote-request and invitation emails, and send service messages about your account or subscription.
- To run optional AI features (ClearHire Pro): when you ask the AI to draft a proposal or read a receipt, the notes or receipt image you provide are sent to our AI provider to produce the result.
- To keep ClearHire secure, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Service providers we use

Sharing
Contractor listing information is public by design. Quote requests go to the contractor you contact. Business records are visible only to the people on that business. We may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, with this policy continuing to apply.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: Account → Delete My Account.
- On the website: My Account → Delete account.
- Or email info@clearhirepro.com from your account email.
When you delete your account, your login is removed. If you're the only person on a business, that business's listing, documents, jobs, photos, receipts, expenses, leads, reviews and pricing are deleted and any Pro subscription is canceled. If others are on the business, you're removed and the business stays with them. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days. Payment records may be kept by Stripe as required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your listing and records at any time in My Account or the app. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing info@clearhirepro.com. If you're a contractor's customer, contact that contractor about records they keep about you, or contact us and we'll help.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and access to business records is restricted to the people on that business. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
ClearHire is for adults and businesses. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If changes are significant, we'll let account holders know.
